Manifesto“ is a project initiated in 2005 by Flavio de Marco and theater director Pietro Babina, who converse over a digitized image which they modify over time. The process, which is still ongoing, was documented in 2009 and 2014 in two books, each showing a different step of the picture’s transformation and the evolution of the artists’ dialogue. The publications were celebrated with site-specific performances by the artists at Boldini Museum in Ferrara and at Palais de Tokyo in Paris. The book, which integrates the picture in its actual size (588x326cm), is an „object“ that can’t be bought but is instead delivered to a public library in the city hosting the event (Biblioteca Ariostea in Ferrara and Biblioteque Kandindinsky in Centre George Pompidou).
